AT&T in Mexico Opens Business Experience Center and Strengthens Its Business Solutions Offer
Businesses will be able to find Internet of Things, Cybersecurity and Software Defined Network solutions to boost new business opportunities
Accompanied by the Ministry of Economy’s Undersecretary of Industry and Commerce, AT&T in Mexico opened today its Business Experience Center (CXE). This is a unique space where companies will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity and Software Defined Network (SDN) solutions. Located on the 18th floor of the company's corporate headquarters, in the heart of Mexico City, this is the first innovation center the company builds in Latin America.
The innovation that characterizes AT&T worldwide, will now be available through the CXE to offer personalized support to small, medium and large companies that seek to enhance their business opportunities in an increasingly connected country.
Also, the Chief Executive Officer for AT&T in Mexico, Kelly King, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for AT&T in Mexico, Carlos Blanco, and the Assistant Vice President of Smart Cities, Michael Zeto attended the event.

The 8,600 square feet center is an exhibit for technological experiences that will allow companies to visualize new and better ways to provide services, connect cities and be able to protect themselves against security threats. In addition, attendees will be able to discover the latest in Internet of Things, Cybersecurity and Software Defined Network.
CXE is a space designed for business executives, but it is also open to university students and academics, as well as entrepreneurs interested in having cutting-edge solutions for their businesses.
As part of the opening event, AT&T also announced two appointments to strengthen its business solutions unit by consolidating a specialized team dedicated to understanding the industry and offering customized solutions.
Reporting to Carlos Blanco (COO), Carlos Allende joins AT&T in Mexico as Vice President of Business Sales. Allende has a degree in Systems Engineering and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies. He has a professional trajectory in global technology companies, including Microsoft Mexico, Hewlett Packard, IBM and COMPAQ Mexico.
Additionally, the appointment of Andrés Canales as Assistant Vice President of Internet of Things of AT&T in Mexico was announced. Canales previously served as Assistant Vice President of Digital Life at AT&T US. He has a decade of experience in the company and he will be responsible for the development of Internet of Thing products for the Mexican market.

Andrés will be an essential element in developing and delivering innovative Internet of Things products to address the needs of our customers”, said the Chief Operating Officer of AT&T in Mexico, Carlos Blanco.
Some of the solutions presented during the CXE opening were:
- IoT: Fleet Control and Asset Management that track location, as well as vehicle and asset status, respectively.
- Cybersecurity: NetBond allows companies to connect to AT&T's private virtual network (VPN) to various cloud providers securely.
- SDN: FlexWare is a device that replaces complex hardware infrastructure with software- performed functions.
The CXE has top-level facilities and offers flexibility to host exhibitions, events, forums and talks. All these with the objective of generating new debates and exchange ideas, creating alliances and opening new opportunities from AT&T’s innovation leadership.
