National Offer Makes It Easier to Give Hotel Guests an Upgraded Entertainment Experience

AT&T* continues to make it easier for guests at hotel and institutions across the country to enjoy a premium entertainment experience with DIRECTV’s industry-leading HD programming, sports and channel variety. Starting Aug. 1, hotels, universities, senior living, healthcare facilities, and other properties can get select free equipment for DIRECTV’s advanced HD entertainment systems. These include COM2000 and DIRECTV Residential Experience (DRE).

“We’re making it easier than ever for hotels to get our TV services,” said Ed Balcerzak, senior vice president, Commercial & Connected Communities, AT&T. “Guests expect to have the same entertainment options in a hotel now as they do at home. With this offer, hotels and other properties are able to provide the type of TV experience their guests are used to, without breaking the bank.”

COM2000 is a commercial grade HD video solution for any size property that does not want a receiver with each TV. With this offer customers receive free equipment for a 48-channel COM2000 system or pay the cost difference if additional equipment or more than 48 channels are required.

DRE gives customers access to the full residential channel lineup, an HD interactive programming guide and an anti-microbial remote. This offer enables customers to receive free equipment for a DRE system, and for properties installing a DRE Plus system, customers can still take advantage of this offer by only paying the difference between the two systems.

DRE Plus provides an interactive guest experience and a large selection of on-demand programming without taxing a property’s Wi-Fi network. Properties using DRE Plus also have access to guest messaging, folio review/express checkout and hotel Property Management System integration. DRE is compatible with all HD televisions, Pro:Idiom™ TVs are not required.

These offers are available for a limited time only to all new and renewing DIRECTV customers. Participating customers must have HD TVs in 100% of their units, subscribe to a minimum selection of DIRECTV programming, and sign a new 5-year contract to be eligible.
