Biometrics are unique biological characteristics that identify you. These include things like fingerprints, voiceprints and scans of your facial geometry. We may collect and use biometrics for verifying or authenticating your identity, detecting and preventing fraud, or safety and other security purposes. We only keep biometric information until the initial purpose of collecting it is complete, within one year of your last interaction with AT&T, or within 45 days after determining through annual review the storage of biometric data is no longer necessary (possible 45-day extension may apply), whichever occurs first, unless we are legally required to keep it for a different period. After that, we permanently destroy it. In the event of a breach of your biometric information, we have protocols in place for responding to such incidents, and we will notify you as required by law.
This notice applies to consumers and people doing work for AT&T. You can contact us with questions about this biometric information notice.
